Perfect Day
Portland area is such a great place for outdoor adventures; but you already knew that. Last week a friend and I took a three hour hike in Forest Park. My idea of a nice day in town, is to enjoy one of the oodles of trails in Forest Park,and head to one of the “health food” markets along my way home. Sandy has a small farmer’s market but nothing to rival the huge array of good markets in Portland.This week it was my friend’s turn to head out toward my neck of the woods and we hiked on the Upper Salmon River Trail that meanders along the, you guessed it, the Salmon River. What a great day.
We met a group of young workers from Americorps doing repairs to one of the bridges on the trail. I wasn’t quick enough with my camera to catch this one dude, trucking along with this big old beam on his head. But we snapped them during their lunch break.
So don’t let another week go by without getting out and enjoying
