Otto’s Ski Shop will be hosting a ski maintenance and waxing clinic on Sunday, August 13th, 2023.
On hand at the shop will be Shelley Hakanson of Wy’East Nordic Ski School and Dale Peters who has been coaching skiing on Mt. Hood for 50-years. Shelley, Dale, and myself will be on hand to run a ski waxing clinic which will be instructional as well as hands-on experience for the participants. We will be teaching waxing techniques for both performance, classic, and skate skis. We are also going to show you how to wax your ‘waxless’ touring skis. The first clinic will begin at 11 am and depending on the amount of sign ups an afternoon clinic may be added.
Please bring your own skis with you. We can send you home with a storage wax on those skis and come ski time all you have to do is scrape and go!
With all the expertise in the house, August 13th will be the perfect time to shop for new gear for yourself or you might want to look at your current set up and discuss how well it serves you and if there are improvements to be made.
The month of August is the time to buy new gear at the lowest prices here at Otto’s Ski Shop. Late summer discounts are pricing our products at nearly wholesale for the public. We also have a selection of used gear. Participants in the event will be offered 50% waxing supplies and select apparel on the day of the event.
